چکیده
The payload increase of watermarking channels via the use of low-density parity check codes is considered. The bit error rate and payload size problem is addressed in the light of the performance of typical transform-domain spread-spectrum watermarking techniques. Simulation results indicate that the information payload can be doubled via judicious use of LDPC codes vis-à-vis the performance of the BCH and repetition codes.

متن کاملError resilient video coding using multiple description motion compensation
A new approach for multiple description video coding using motion compensated prediction is proposed. The temporal predictor is designed to provide a desired trade-off between prediction gain and mismatch between the predictions obtained at the encoder and that at the decoder when only one description is available. The mismatch signal is explicitly coded to avoid error propagation. The system c...
متن کاملWatermarking of compressed multimedia using error-resilient VLCs
Error-resilient variable length codes (VLCs) have been proposed to counter bit errors over error-prone channels. In this work we establish a linkage between channel coding and watermarking by observing that watermark bits are, in effect, intentional bit errors. Using a recently introduced resynchronizing VLC, we have developed a compressed-domain watermarking algorithm where the inherent errorr...
متن کاملR-D analysis of adaptive edge representations
This paper presents a Rate-Distortion analysis for a simple horizon edge image model. A quadtree with anisotropy and rotation is performed on this kind of image, giving a toy model for a non-linear adaptive coding technique, and its Rate-Distortion behavior is studied. The effect of refining the quadtree decomposition is also analyzed.
متن کامل3D rigid structure from video: what are "easy" shapes and "good" motions?
Factorization algorithms are increasingly popular to recover 3D rigid structure from video. In this paper, we analyze the rank 1 factorization algorithm to determine what are the most suitable 3D shapes or the best 3D motions to recover the 3D structure from the 2D trajectories of the features. We show that the shape is best retrieved from orthogonal views aligned with the longest and smallest ...
